Padhaai Circle has not opened yet. Coins and ratnas are not being counted, and activity from before it opens will not be added retrospectively — we would rather say that plainly than imply a balance is quietly building. Certificates and streaks are not part of this switch and already work.
For learners: two kinds of recognition
One counts steady effort. The other marks something you have actually learned. They are separate on purpose — effort should be acknowledged, but mastery is the thing that lasts.
- Gyan Coins
- Earned for each lesson or practice set you complete. A flat amount per item, the same every time — a harder item is not worth more, and neither is a faster one.
- Vidya Ratnas
- Awarded as the number of concepts you have mastered reaches a milestone — your 1st, then your 5th, 10th, 25th, 50th and 100th. One for each milestone, once.
Milestones along the way
As your Gyan Coins add up you pass named milestones. Each one is yours — a marker of your own journey, in the words this platform teaches in. It is not a position against anybody. There is no list, and no student can see how far another has come.
- Shishya
- The beginner. Your first lessons, your first practice sets — the part where showing up is the whole achievement.
- Vidyarthi
- The student. A habit has formed. You are coming back without being asked to, and it has started to show.
- Gyani
- The knowledgeable. A subject has stopped being something you are getting through and started being something you know.
- Maha Gyani
- A body of work, built over years. Rare, and meant to be.
Each milestone brings a badge on your profile and a certificate you can print and keep. It brings nothing else — no faster earning, no earlier access to anything, no priority anywhere on Padhaai. A milestone that made you earn faster would compound into a gap a slower starter could never close, so none of them does. This part is designed and not yet built; when it arrives it will work exactly as described here.
Certificates work already
Certificates are deliberately not part of the switch above, because recognition of real progress should not wait on a rewards programme. They are printable, typeset in Devanagari with your name, and issued at your 1st, 10th, 25th, 50th and 100th mastered concept — a shorter list than the ratna milestones — and at streaks of 7, 30 and 100 days.
What coins can be claimed for
The catalogue is not open. It opens after earning does, so the anti-gaming rules are in place before anything can be claimed. When it opens, this is the kind of thing that will be in it: deliberately small and deliberately ordinary.
- Donate a textbook to another student — the one thing in the catalogue that is not for you.
- A Padhaai practice notebook.
- A story book in your language.
What coins are never for
- Never a lesson, a textbook, a practice set or a test FOR YOURSELF. Content is not purchasable with anything, including effort — the textbook in the catalogue is one you give to somebody else, not one you unlock.
- Never early access, never a feature others do not have.
- Never money, and never anything that converts to money. Not for learners, not for mentors, not for anyone.
- Never a position on a list. There is no list.
Anything that has to be posted to you needs a parent or guardian to confirm it and to give the delivery address. We do not ask a child for an address.
